This size US 8 1/4 sterling silver ring has a checkerboard marquise cut andalusite set centrally, flanked by four tanzanites on either side.
The andalusite was cut by hand in house, the tanzanites show evidence of heat treatment.
I think andalusite and zoisite (tanzanite var.) pair well as they both show strong pleochroism. The andalusite shows orange, green and pink, the tanzanites show pale blue and violet.
