This beautiful handmade pipe is made of a cast bronze stem and base, attached to a hollow egg with a bowl of tropical hardwood in it. The egg functions as cooling chamber. Though all connections are well fitted they are also sealed with beeswax due to the fragility of the components. The bronze base has a cast bronze clamshell stand.
I like to bring out the natural beauty of the materials I use in a way that fuses the various media and allows for a functional finished piece of art. I let the material speak to me.
This is an extremely fragile product, made with a blown chicken egg shell.
