This signet ring is cast in lead-free pewter (Brittania alloy). The ring size when cast is 6. The sealing image is a heart full of butt.
The heart shape is thought to derive from the butt shape.
This is part of a series of signet rings I am making cast from lead-free pewter. Each ring is hand sculpted to give a unique, rustic style, relief image when used as a seal, with sealing wax.
